How helping others can help YOU get what you want....

One of Zig Zigler's most famous quotes goes thus - "You can get everything you want if you help enough others get what they want".

When it comes to internet marketing, never a truer word was spoken.  Many people though make the mistake of thinking that internet marketing or MLM is about selling 'stuff' to people.  It isn't and here's a truth I bet a LOT of people don't know - network marketing is ALL ABOUT TEACHING AND MENTORING.

Yup, believe it or not but the most fundamental product of network marketing is in fact 'people'.  It's people you should be studying - what do they want, how can they be helped to achieve THEIR dreams (not YOUR dreams)....   Build your business around people and you'll keep most of them.  People join people.  People aren't interested in joining companies where they're just treated as yet another number, another figure in the recruitment list.

Every successful marketing company that has survived the test of time is based on that fundamental principle.  Sure, you also need great products and/or services to sell BUT if the focus is on pushing those and not on developing the human side of the business to go with the great product the business invariably fails. If you have great products AND you also have a great teaching and mentoring program in place to help other people achieve their dreams then you have an absolute winner.  This has been proven time and time again.   Approach your business from the perspective that by helping others to achieve their dreams you will also be helping you yourself and you can't fail to be successful.

So here it is in a nutshell - find yourself a good product or service to sell.  Then make helping others reach their dreams your top priority.

People love being helped and for the most part they love helping others in return.  Build on this mutually beneficial partnership to build your business.  Provide people with products, information, help etc that they need or require and in turn they'll sing your praises.  Word of mouth is an absolutely invaluable method of advertising.  Many companies rely on it even more than they do paid or standard advertising.

It doesn't really matter WHAT it is you help them achieve.  It could be the purchase of a product that you've recommended to them because you know it will enrich their life in some way.  It could be the provision of some information that will help them to do something they really want to do.  Whatever it is, if you make sure everything you do in your business is geared towards this one ultimate goal, success should follow naturally.  And the more people you help, naturally the more beneficial it is for you.

My tip:

Take the time to listen to people.  When you understand them, understand their personality, understand what motivates them and what they really want in life, THEN and only then will you have the ability to inspire them and motivate them to do great things.  From that you will be rewarded, not only financially.
